Himavad Gopalswamy Betta. Please read thru...
All the above photos are from a place called Himavad Gopalswamy Betta, which comes under Bandipur National Park. There is a Temple of lord Krishna on top of this Hill and it is full of FOG. Hence the name Himavad Gopalswamy betta is being used from ages. This beautiful, picturesque place comes under protected area of forest department and also is a critical tiger habitat.
You might wonder, then why is the forest department allowing people to go there? its because of the temple. Though everyone is allowed to visit the temple, no one is allowed or permitted or free to get into the Forest beyond Temple Premises. But still people go there create mess, throw plastic and other trash, shout, make noise. They also litter the place with alcohol bottles and cigarette butts thrown all over the places.
I request everyone reading this blog to behave yourself whenever you visit this place. Make sure you are not throwing any trash. You are not getting into forest as it may prove fatal to your life. Since there are all sort of animals like Elephants, Leopards, Cheetals, Sambar and most importantly Tiger. Maintain cleaneliness and advice others also.
I fear this place may loose its beauty if we continue to spoil the place at this rate. Do you like a unknown person to visit your house and litter, shout, drink n smoke? Your answer is always a STRICT "NO" , then why you go and do it in the place of wildlife, which gives you everything, water, fresh air....etc?
Ask yourself.

Tusker
This kinda of dance during festivals is a common thing in India, this photo was taken while coming back from Kollur during Ganesha Festival. These people were returning after immersing Ganesha Idol in the lake near a village. Ganesha can be said the favorite god of Hindus. Believe it or not, some Muslim people celebrate Ganesha festival in Mumbai just like Hindus following Ramzaan. This can happen only in India

Jog Falls or a stream?
There were days when you used to see only water in this World famous Jog falls, but now you can see only rocks not water. Thanks to deforestation. Its better late than never, come lets save our forests and rivers. Lets save human race.
I like this.
Tiger @ Banneraghatta National Park.
Please SAVE TIGERS as they are not only our National Animals, they are also symbol of best ecological balance in the region and plays vital role in food chain. Tigers Ecology consists of thick and evergreen forests which is the main source of water for rivers in India. Think twice before you kill them directly or indirectly.
Every one talks about saving Tigers, but only a handful of them are doing real conservation. As a common man, you can ask your leaders to grow more tree's and allocate barren lands to forest department or to some one who is ready to develop it as a forest. You can also help save tiger by donating money to conservation groups, by VOLUNTEERING to conservation activities.
Very recently Renown wildlife cinematographer Shekar Dattatri released a document on Tigers called " The Truth About Tigers". This 40 min. Documentary on life of Tigers in India is the best way to learn about Tigers.
If any of you wish to see this movie on Tigers, do contact me. I have a Copy. Strictly this is for Education Purpose only.
This photo of Tiger is from Bannerghatta National Park, Bangalore taken in 2009. I did my trip to Bannerghatta on cycle and the experience was too good. Did take a safari inside the national park and this park is one of the best in India. Do visit if you have not visited.
